Local Moving - Protection Options

There are three options for Valuation or Insurance that only a licensed moving company can provide.

Basic Liability Coverage - $0.60 per pound per article

This basic liability coverage is provided at no additional cost as required by the Missouri Department of Transportation. The military table of weights is used to establish the weight for an object. For example the standard weight of a dinning room chair is 35 pounds.  If there is damage to the chair the customer will receive $21.00 to repair any damage.

Full Replacement Value Insurance

Let us SAVE YOU MONEY by suggesting that your home owners or renters insurance may cover your belongings.  Check with your insurance company, it is worth a call.  If not, Affordable Moving Services makes available FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE PROTECTION.  This special coverage will add to the cost of your move but gives you an added sense of security.  The first step is to declare a total value of your belongings. We will then give you the additional cost based on your choice of three deductibles.

Covering Selected High Value Items

You may select specific items that are of exceptional value.  We place these on a high value inventory, you declare a value and we quote a price.
